I am a human geographer and a scholar of migration, borders and racialization.
I study the creation, legitimization and contestation of borders, with a comparative focus in the Mediterranean and US southern border. I also have an interest in the politics of water infrastructure development
I am an assistant professor in the International Studies Department at the University of San Francisco. I received my PhD in Geography from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018.
I am fluent in Italian, Spanish, Arabic, French and English.
